BUILDING A POWERFUL PERSONAL BRAND (2016)
Below is a checklist to assess your current brand health. 
Please use the checklist and indicate either yes/no or sometimes, with regards to each question and check your score at the end.

This checklist is personal and for your eyes ONLY. So I would ask you to be as honest as you possibly can to get the most realistic picture of the current state of affairs.

If you don’t know how you rate on a specific question then get input from a trusted source.

This is not a scientific assessment, this should serve as a guide to you, it should help you look at brand building and eroding behaviours and illicit questions and observations of your own about how you function in the working world and within your role.

 Remember: No brand is perfect; the reason that you are taking this questionnaire is that you want to improve and enhance your current brand and this assessment is designed to give you a glimpse of where you need to start from.

Q7 Can you produce consistently good work under pressure?
Q8 Do you often miss deadlines?
Q9 Are you assigned tasks that are not necessarily part of your current role?
Q10 Does your manager ask you for your opinion on important decisions or changes that they need to make?
Q11 Do people approach you for advice, be it personal or work related?
Q12 Would you describe yourself as discreet?
Q13 If your manager left the company would you have other options within the company and could you move to a new division with ease?
Q14 Do you have outbursts or angry, loud confrontations or engage in office gossip or politics?
Q15 Are you prone to sulking or giving people the silent treatment?
Q16 Do you use your positional power inappropriately from time to time?
Q17 Do you have a good relationship with the other assistants in your team and company?
Q18 Are you giving some of your time to transfer your skills to others?
Q19 Do you have a task list or organise the work that needs to be done daily?
Q20 Are you absent from work more than you think you should be?
Q21 Do you miss calls often, have a landline which goes unanswered or reply to emails very late?
Q22 Are your submissions often returned for corrections?
Q23 Are you someone who has a good eye for detail?
Q24 Would you describe yourself as someone who communicates confidently and convincingly?
Q25 Do you know what makes you special and do you put your talents to work?
Q26 Are you well versed in all the software packages that you are required to use during your working day?
Q27 Would you describe yourself as having above average language ability?
Q28 Do you have exceptional ability in working with statistics or numbers?
Q29 Is your turnaround time on requests excellent and does the product that you produce always meet expectations?
Q30 Are you an intelligent all-rounder who understands the business and the world that you work in?
Please remember that this is not a competition and it is not about the final scores. This is about finding a baseline and working on measures to improve the current state of your brand. Brand building is a daily exercise, it is not a project that you undertake once and it is finished.
